Founder
Vladlen Xavier Stark
CPA, CA · ICD.D
Vladlen founded Luxara to make ownership of trophy properties accessible to more families. The company grew out of a co-ownership structure he had been operating at Vista Bahia in Costa Rica since 2022, and now spans three product lines: institutional-grade LP investment in single trophy assets, deeded co-ownership of family homes, and direct booking of Luxara-owned properties.
He is Chief Financial Officer of Remuda Group and incoming Chair of the Financial Executives International Canada National Board. His finance career began at PwC, where he earned his Chartered Accountant designation, and includes leading finance, risk, and human capital for a major North American energy company through a multi-billion-dollar growth phase. He also serves as Board Advisor at Zindis Hospitality Group and Treasurer and Audit Committee Chair at Lycée International de Calgary.
He immigrated to Canada from Ukraine in 2002, lives in Calgary with his wife and two young children, and hosts The Immigrant Hustle podcast on entrepreneurship and AI. Vladlen co-invests in every Luxara property on the same LP terms as every other investor.
